Video Go Go was an exclusive inner city Detroit music video show that aired only on cable television from 1995 to early 2006.  The show did not only play all the very latest music videos by top urban, hip-hop and R&B stars, it also featured many local Detroit music videos. We also had a slant towards music videos that featured Hot and Sexy Go Go Dancers.

Video Go Go from the beginning was a show that was designed to be on the go because we did not have a permanent studio set.  Hence our first tag ling, “Video Go Go”, the show that’s always on the GO”.  Many episodes were done in record stores, night clubs, local Radio Station events and at businesses who were our sponsors.  The National Record labels quickly recognized Video Go Go because the show did have some impact on record promotions and sales in inner city Detroit.

I want to thank all the people who helped us to be able to bring the city of Detroit this show. So if you were a part of the crew in any capacity, I Nat Morris would like to personally thank you again for your love and support.

During the show’s life span, it had many Hosts and Co-Hosts for the show.  In January 1995, we started with Indigo (my partner’s Marvin Davis’s Niece) and Natosha (my daughter), then later in 1995 Shawn P Williams as the permanent Host.  Shawn P as he is know was the longest running Host of the show.  In the year 2000 Lieutenant Dre a local DJ from the Hip-Hop radio station 105.9 became Host.  When Lieutenant Dre was no longer available to do the show he recommended Mona Lisa another on-air personality from 105.9.

Mona Lisa had an energetic delivery that fit right in with what we were trying to as it related to the feel of the show. Her career path led her in another direction so we had to look for another permanent host. Again at Shawn P’s suggestion in late 2003, I contacted a former WJLB radio personality in the person of TJ The Troubleman Smith. TJ hosted the show for about a year. During that time we had some very good shows, like the episode that was taped the night the Detroit Pistons won the NBA Championship in 2005. Ms Monet also hosted a couple of episodes including the Monday Night Showcase at Club Panacea. Later in 2005 Kenaeya Miles became the host of Video Go Go and hosted a few episodes. One of her outstanding episodes featured Proof and his Iron Fist Record label counterparts. We also did a Christmas episode that was taped at Campus Martius in downtown Detroit. Production of Video Go Go came to an end in mid 2006. More clips from Video Go Go are posted on the Nat Morris YouTube channel. We will be posting more clips and episodes from the show posted in the future. Subscribe the the channel to be notified when those new clips are posted.
